i have been making art since i was old enough to pick up a hammer and nails and some scraps of wood lying around my father's tool shed. my sisters and brothers and i spent many hours constructing go carts, rubber band pistols, slingshots, and clubhouses. i filled endless summers with imagination and creation. as i got older my artistic interests were in dance and theater but i never lost the love of working with my hands. in 1997 i graduated with a degree in drawing and painting from cal state long beach and i am still busy in my studio being inquisitive and making new discoveries. my work has been exhibited in los angeles, and orange county and i have just completed my first children's book. i live in los angeles with my husband and two daughters.
